Cancellation & Studio PoliciesAll appointments are subject to the following policies.Booking Requirements
Initial appointments require a valid email address for appointment confirmations and reminders, as well as a credit or debit card on file to reserve your appointment and uphold the policies below.Appointment Cancellation PolicyPlease arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment to ensure you receive your full treatment time.* Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance at no charge.
* Same-day cancellations will incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service price.
* No-shows or appointments missed without notification by phone or text will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price.Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. To provide thoughtful, individualized care, we intentionally schedule a limited number of sessions each day. Late cancellations and missed appointments prevent us from accommodating clients who may be waiting for care and directly impact our small, locally owned practice.Dismissal PolicyMassage & Prosper maintains a safe and professional environment for both clients and practitioners.Service will be immediately terminated, and the full service fee charged, if a client engages in any sexually inappropriate behavior, language, or conduct.Treatment will also be refused if a client appears to be impaired by alcohol, recreational drugs, or medications that prevent informed consent or make massage unsafe. Clients dismissed under these circumstances may be charged up to the full service amount.Clients experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness—including fever, persistent coughing, vomiting, or other signs of infection—are asked to reschedule their appointment. To protect the health of our practitioners and all clients, we reserve the right to refuse treatment if illness is suspected."Do No Harm" PolicyAs licensed massage therapists, we have an ethical responsibility to provide treatment only when it is safe and appropriate.Massage may be contraindicated for certain medical conditions, including but not limited to acute injuries, sunburn, active skin infections or weeping eczema/psoriasis, recent whiplash, certain spinal injuries, illness, cancer treatment, or other conditions where massage could delay healing or worsen symptoms.Massage & Prosper reserves the right to refuse or postpone treatment whenever massage is determined to be unsafe. We are happy to provide care once physician clearance and any recommended treatment guidelines have been received.PregnancyBecause of the increased risk associated with the first trimester, Massage & Prosper does not provide massage during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.After the first trimester, we are happy to refer expectant clients to our trusted colleague, Jessica Sanchez, an experienced prenatal massage therapist with specialized prenatal certifications and more than a decade of experience.
